Anime Doki Presents – 5 Anime To Watch Before You Die
Lets face it, you never know when your days will come to an end, and if your into anime then surely you would want to make sure you have seen all the best? Thus we have compiled a list of 5 Anime that you would be mad not to have seen by this summer. And guess what, you can stream them all right here on AnimeDoki.
1. 5 Centimeters Per Second

This is far more than your average Anime movie. The animation itself is second to none with an emotional soundtrack to match the melancholy plot. Primarily a tale about relationships, 5 Centimetres Per Second offers an engaging story that will immerse you in the thoughts of the characters and amaze you with the beautiful settings that surround them. I believe there can be no greater testament to this movie than the fact that very few finish it without having had tears streaming down their cheeks at some point (for the record I cried twice ;_;).
Fans of drama, romance and Makoto Shinkai’s previous works should definitely lay aside an evening for this masterpiece.
2. Cowboy Bebop

An episodic blast from the past, Cowboy Bebop defines what all great anime should strive to be. Mixing intricate plots with the fantastic soundtrack from the Seatbelts, Cowboy Bebop will excite fans of action and music alike. While the animation is dated there seems to be no other fault that can be found from Sunrise’s greatest series to date.
Recommended to anyone who considers they know anything about anime.
(Watch out for the upcoming movie starring Keanu Reeves, we can only hope it does the original justice).
3. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

An erratic plot about an impulsive girl, Haruhi Suzumiya is a slice of life that you simply were not expecting. Without giving anything away, there is more to this story than immediately meets the eye and it will turn our protaganist’s (Kyon) life upside down. Animation is top notch and character design is flawless, with season 2 just around the corner this anime is sure to be remembered as a classic far into the future.
There is not one person I would not recommend this anime to, I’m sure even Simon Cowell would enjoy it.
4. Spirited Away

The highest grossing movie of all time in Japan, the winner of an Oscar and the only Academy Award ever to be awarded to an animated film. Possibly Hayao Miyazaki greatest work yet, Spirited Away is a fantastical adventure on an epic scale. This movie could defeat Mike Tyson in his prime, it could probably end Naruto (please dear God!) and I have no doubt within it lies the cure to cancer. That is all I want to say about this movie, that and anyone who has ever before watched and enjoyed a movie needs to see this.
5. Full Metal Alchemist

Both extremely popular and highly entertaining, FMA has and incredible quality of storytelling across all its 50+ episodes. A tale of 2 brothers on a mission to recover what they lost years ago, you’d physically have to die half way through not to be able to finish this series. Remember that book that you read entirely in one day, then felt you wanted to read it again tomorrow? Well this is the anime equivalent, and while there may be flaws, it’s still one heck of a ride.
